Women join our community through a process called recruitment, which allows you to find your home on campus. There are two ways you can participate in recruitment:

This process every September allows women to see the 11 chapters participating in a structured process. This allows for a variety of options and seeing many chapters in a shorter period of time. 2019 Panhellenic Recruitment will begin on Monday, September 2 and take place over five days, ending on Sunday, September 8.

For a handful of chapters, this is a process that typically occurs during the first month of the semester. Women have a chance to spend more time at chapters, participating in events planned by the informally recruiting sorority. Past recruitment events include movie nights and ice cream sundae socials. To participate, women should contact chapters individually once the semester starts. An Informal Recruitment Kickoff event is typically held at the beginning of each semester.

Prior to recruitment, information sessions will be held in Coffman Union, You MUST attend your assigned information session.

Information sessions are scheduled based on year in school, then last name.

Welcome to the University of Minnesota! We are so excited to have you here and we look forward to your involvement with the Greek community. Greek Life at the University of Minnesota is unique and thriving; with four councils representing a diverse community of student interests, there is most definitely a place for everyone.

Greek Life is an excellent way to begin your college transition or add depth and belonging to one that has already begun. The University of Minnesota's Panhellenic Council is made up of 14 sororities, all of which exemplify scholarship, leadership, friendship and community service. I strongly encourage you to pursue Panhellenic Recruitment and consider the life changing impact one of these organizations can have on your college years.

As you go into recruitment, I encourage you to keep an open mind and hold confidence in the process. Make an effort to get to know the women of our community and the unique values their chapters hold. Find the chapter where you feel most at home and see the best fit for you. Take time to truly immerse yourself in Panhellenic Life at the University and all that it can offer you.

Throughout your college years and beyond, you will find friends that share similar values, interests and goals as you. By choosing to join one of these organizations, you are joining something bigger than yourself. Consider not only the woman you are today, but the kind of woman you want to be when your college years are done.

On behalf of our entire community, we are so excited to meet you! We look forward to assisting you in the recruitment process to help you find your home here at the University of Minnesota.

In Panhellenic,

Melissa Tinucci
