Sigma Alpha Mu (Sammy)

Chapter Bio

Sigma Alpha Mu - Kappa Chapter, commonly referred to as Sammy, was founded at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities in 1915 on the ideals of true manhood, democracy, and humanity. Within the past 5 years, Sammy has been regarded as one of the quickest developing fraternities on campus, and has taken great strides academically, socially, and philanthropically. Located on 10th Avenue, surrounded by 9 sororities, we pride ourselves in having the single largest fraternity chapter house, annex, as well as the best chef on campus. We celebrated our 100 year anniversary in 2015, in addition to being awarded the Founder’s Cup by our national office, which distinguishes Kappa as the #1 Sammy chapter in the country.
