Gerald D. Rinehart Scholarship
In the spring of 2013, IFC and PHC endowed a scholarship to honor Jerry Rinehart, our now retired Vice Provost for Student Affairs and Dean of Students. This scholarship is aimed to honor any junior who has contributed significant leadership to the Fraternity and Sorority community at the University of Minnesota and who can demonstrate their future plans to impact their chapter and our members as a senior. Each year, a male and female Greek student will be eligible to win a $1250 tuition scholarship.

Jerry was an incredible advocate for Fraternity and Sorority Life at UMN. He created the Office for Fraternity and Sorority Life, placing it directly within Student Affairs. His initiatives were aimed at increasing leadership development of the current members and enabling the community to actively recruit future leaders. As a fraternity man himself, Jerry believed in the concept of values based living and felt the fraternal experience enabled students to learn outside of the classroom.
IFC and PHC Scholarships
Joining a fraternity and sorority can add additional finances to your college experience that are not always anticipated. With this in mind, IFC and PHC created scholarships to help new members bare the weight of membership.
The Panhellenic Council offers a variety of scholarships to women of the Greek community to accommodate financial needs as much as possible. PHC scholarships are now open.
